Vijaybhoomi University launches BE software engineering course with apprenticeship
Vijaybhoomi University (VU) has launched a BE software engineering learning path program as well as paid apprenticeship. Interested students will be able to take a four-year software engineering program that will include two years of formal education and two years of apprenticeship. Admissions for the course will open in September.
The four-year program was launched in partnership with Lithan Academy, a Singapore-based digital skills company. It will be taught by professors from Lithan Academy and Vijaybhoomi University.
The pedagogy will focus on strengthening KSAs (knowledge, skills and capacities) using real or simulated projects. Students will move from acquiring knowledge in the classroom to implementing skills and mastering skills in the workplace, VU said. In addition, students will be eligible for paid internships at leading companies
âThe program will allow students to acquire in-depth industry-related skills and two years of work experience prior to graduation. Their innovative 2 + 2 program consists of two years of study followed by two years of learning provided in some of the most prestigious software development companies in the world. This program will allow students to gain hands-on experience in a real industrial environment, âadded VU.
The programs will also include one-on-one coaching from industry experts. Upon successful completion of the program, students will also receive placement opportunities.
