What will you do

  • Perform hands-on architecture, design and development of systems and capabilities
  • Develop detection capacities to identify suspicious activities and operationalize alerts within the CSOC
  • Support CSOC efforts for continuous improvement of operations activation
  • Creates lean / agile prototypes to influence product direction
  • Write code and unit tests, work on API specs, automation, and conduct code reviews and tests.
  • Contribute to the development of use cases for security monitoring, based on data derived from a variety of security tools in a data lake environment
  • Collaborates with operations and product stakeholders to develop applications and tools within a framework focused on the customer / business experience.
  • Work with Product Managers to prioritize functionality for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, and known flaws
  • Continuously collaborate and participate with key technology teams and mission-critical projects to proactively acquire knowledge about Comcast systems
  • Identify exciting opportunities for the adoption of new security technologies to address existing needs and future challenges

What you must have

  • Familiar and experienced with scripting languages ​​such as bash, python and / or powershell
  • Knowledge of computer network security concepts, protocols and practices
  • Good understanding of database structure, design, query languages ​​(e.g. SQL), fundamentals of mathematics, large datasets and distributed systems, and statistical concepts
  • Experience and passion for working in a fast paced Agile environment
  • Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (eg AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
  • Optional Certification (s): AWS CSA or CD, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC or equivalent

What we need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Competent and confident to work with dynamic language and compiled language. Python, Ruby or Golang preferred
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA and REST), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Experience with modern development tools: Git, JIRA, etc.
  • Experience with Agile and / or Kanban
  • Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
