You will be part of one of the best software engineering research groups in the Asia-Pacific region, with internationally renowned researchers. The group specializes in the fields of human-centered software engineering, software engineering for artificial intelligence, and artificial intelligence for software engineering. The Software Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering to join its team to support the teaching, research and professional activities of the Department of Software Systems and Cybersecurity within from the Faculty of Information Technology.
This position will suit active and innovative early career researchers who wish to take advantage of the excellent research support services to develop their academic career and contribute to high quality teaching and graduate supervisions. With the ability to collaborate effectively and to motivate and inspire learners, you will play a major role in our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs and lead research focused on software engineering.
As the successful candidate, you hold a PhD in software engineering, computer science, or relevant disciplinary fields with relevant experience in software engineering. You will be responsible for preparing course materials and delivering classes and student field trips as required. You will conduct high-quality research in software engineering and disseminate the results in top international academic venues, while striving to broaden the reach and impact of industry and society. The position also involves the supervision of postgraduate and higher degree courses by research students (HDRs), attending department, school and/or faculty meetings and contributing significantly to the functions of planning, committee and administration.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements can be negotiated.
