Featuring breakthrough technologies, enhanced graphics, and high-speed I/O, the ECX-3000 series is ideally suited for IoT, machine vision, embedded computing, public safety, and Edge AI applications.

The 12th Generation Intel Core processor family is the first from Intel to contain two different cores in a single-chip design. With up to eight performance cores and eight efficient cores, Alder Lake offers users a smart new workload optimization feature called Thread Director.
Thread Director was designed by Intel with help from Microsoft to manage CPU-level resources by assigning correct tasks. Low-power background processes can be handled by “Efficient” cores leaving the “Performance” cores free and available for heavy lifting when needed. This CPU optimization is ideal for AI and Edge applications where the system needs to be running all the time to perform low-level monitoring and reporting, while sometimes needing to react to an event with a heavy workload of processes just as quickly. as possible. Comprehensive I/O and expansion options for a variety of embedded applications
The ECX-3000 is packed with high-speed I/O, including new features such as six 10Gbps USB3.2 Gen 2 ports and up to eight 2.5GbE Ethernet ports with two models (ECX -3071XRT/XFR) supporting even faster 10GbE LAN speeds. Each system has at least one 2.5 GbE Ethernet port supporting Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), a critical advancement in high-speed edge communication standards, enabling the transmission of critical information in real time. Additionally, there are options for up to four 2.5GbE PoE+ ports providing 25.5W/48V power per port for the latest IP cameras and other PoE-powered devices.
In addition to its high-speed I/O options, all ECX-3000 models come with an M.2 3042/3052 B-key socket suitable for 5G modules, an M.2 2230 E-key socket plus a miniPCIe slot for expansion modules. Quad display output support is provided by two DisplayPort interfaces, one HDMI interface and one DVI-I interface. For storage, there are two SATA III ports, an mSATA connector and an M.2. Socket 2280 M-key (PCIe x4) with some models offering easy-access removable storage in the front.
