The University/College of Computer Science/Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering in the United Arab Emirates is inviting applications for a faculty position. Qualified applicants at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic achievement. Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and advising students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capacity that will enable the applicant to develop and sustain a funded research program in internally and/or externally in their area of ​​expertise, publish their research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of UAE University.

The application package should include a cover letter, detailed CV, brief description of current/future research activities, teaching philosophy and courses taught. English is the language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.

Minimum qualification

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in computer science, software engineering, ML/AI, information system or closely related fields.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • The ability to teach graduate software engineering courses and undergraduate computer science courses
  • Established record of high-quality research publications in internationally recognized journals and conferences in the fields of computer science, software engineering, or ML/AI applications/theories.
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching and supervising students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining research grants and contracts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with professors from multiple departments and programs.

The rank of the successful candidate will be determined based on their current academic position and experience.
